Teofilo PATINI, bêche et lait (vanga e latte) 1884 Socialiste pur et dur, il a peint des tableaux illustrant la vie paysanne des Abruzzes de la fin du xixe siècle et du début du xxe siècle, mettant en relief la condition de pauvreté de la région et la capacité de résistance et de sacrifice de la population. Illustration musicale: Joan BAEZ - there but for fortune There but for Fortune est une chanson écrite et composée par le chanteur folk Phil Ochs et reprise ici par Joan Baez. Ses paroles décrivent, en quatre couplets, quatre destins brisés : un prisonnier, un clochard, un ivrogne et un pays bombardé. Le chanteur répète, à la fin de chaque couplet, « there but for fortune, may go you or go I » (« s'il n'était le hasard, ce pourrait être ton sort ou le mien »).
