Black Magic Woman est une chanson écrite par Peter Green d'abord sortie dans plusieurs pays comme un single de Fleetwood Mac en 1968, puis en 1969 sur les compilations English Rose (États-Unis) et The Pious Bird of Good Omen (GB). C'est devenu un classique lorsque la chanson a été reprise par le groupe de Carlos Santana en 1970 (avec Gregg Rolie au chant), dans l'album Abraxas, atteignant une quatrième place dans les charts américain et canadien, et devenant ainsi plus étroitement associée à Santana qu'à Fleetwood Mac.
La chanson est un mélange de blues, de rock, de jazz, de son cubain et de rythmes latinos ; l'arrangement de Santana ayant ajouté des congas, des timbales et d'autres percussions en plus de l'orgue et du piano, pour donner à la chanson originale un style plus voodoo1.
Santana plays Black Magic Woman dubbed over video of Alla Kushnir (Liela) as she dances a beautiful and mezmerizing belly dance. The video was filmed at the City festival in Nikolaev, Ukraine 2006, she was Miss Belly Dance of Europe 2008, winner of Ukranian Belly Dance Championship 2007 and 2008 and runner up in a few others. "Black Magic Woman" is a song written by Peter Green that first appeared as a Fleetwood Mac single in various countries in 1968, subsequently appearing on the 1969 Fleetwood Mac compilation albums English Rose (US) and The Pious Bird of Good Omen (UK). It became a classic hit by Santana and sung by Gregg Rolie in 1970, reaching #4 in the U.S. and Canadian charts, after appearing on their Abraxas album, becoming more closely associated with Santana than Fleetwood Mac.
