"Mets ta main dans la main" est une chanson pop de gospel composée par Gene MacLellan. Elle evoque la confiance que l'on doit avoir pour celuis qui calme les eaux dans l'evangile. et enregistrée pour la première fois par la chanteuse canadienne Anne Murray de son troisième album studio Honey, Wheat and Laughter. La chanson a par la suite été reprise par le groupe canadien Ocean et a été diffusée en tant que titre pour leur premier album. Leur version de la piste est sans doute la version la plus populaire de la piste, culminant à 2 aux États-Unis Billboard Hot 100, et est devenu le 22ème best-seller de 1971.
Gene MacLellan (2 février 1938 - 19 janvier 1995) était un auteur-compositeur-interprète canadien de l'Île-du-Prince-Édouard Parmi ses compositions remarquables, il y avait "Snowbird", rendue populaire par Anne Murray, "Put Your Hand in the Hand, "The Call", "Pages of Time" et "Thorn in My Shoe". Elvis Presley, Joan Baez et Bing Crosby furent parmi plusieurs artistes qui enregistrèrent les chansons de MacLellan.
