Could It Be Magic est une chanson écrite et composée par Adrienne Anderson et Barry Manilow en 1973. La mélodie est basée sur le Prélude n° 20 en Do Mineur, Opus 28 de Frédéric Chopin.
Manilow en est le premier interprète, mais c'est Donna Summer, avec une version disco qui popularise et rend célèbre cette chanson mondialement en 1975. Elle est notamment reprise par le groupe The Puppini Sisters en 2007 sur leur album The Rise and Fall of Ruby Woo.
Le titre sera adapté en français par Jean-Michel Rivat la même année que l'interprétation de Donna Summer sous le titre Le Temps qui court. Le premier interprète de cette version française fut Alain Chamfort la même année. Puis par la suite, Alliage (1997) et Les Enfoirés (2007) reprendront ce désormais tube.
