Même si « What about us » n’est pas directement, ni ouvertement, un hommage aux victimes des attentats d’Orlando, certains éléments du clip renvoient clairement à cet événement tragique. Certains plans ne sont pas sans rappeler les images glaçantes du parking de la discothèque meurtrie : une zone industrielle éclairée par les gyrophares des voitures de police; le désarroi de ceux qui, affalés sur le sol, observent des photos de leurs proches, les yeux dans le vide.
L’expression des corps, leur douleur, leur colère. La perte du contact physique d’un être cher. L’amour, les sentiments qui se partagent et les corps qui s’entremêlent. « What about us », le dernier clip de la chanteuse queer Pink, regorge de ces émotions charnelles. Réalisé par Georgia Hudson et chorégraphié par le duo The Goldemboyz, la danse y occupe une place centrale. Saccadés, parfois presque robotiques, mais toujours puissants, les mouvements des danseurs sont hypnotiques.
